Decks & Board Walks
Field Constructions have completed a number of quality and often complex Decks and Boardwalks from the very small to large and sometimes intricate where for example Field Constructions have installed Board walks for the Queensland Parks and Wildlife eg: Eli Creek Board Walk, on Frazer Island. This project demanded the absolute minimum disturbance to the natural environment. Field Constructions submitted a design and construct proposal along with an environmental plan for the installation of a long run (156 m) of the board walk with timber piles using pneumatics to inject the piles into the sensitive sand bed of the pristine water of Eli Creek, construct the deck using 1st quality spotted gum, stainless steel handrails with 6mm stainless steel cables. Stainless steel stairs were fabricated and installed to the end of the boardwalk for ease of access into the water and long term life of the works.
